Glenmore Forest is a small piece of the ancient Caledonian Forest and is a vital part of the Scottish landscape. If you are staying in the Cairngorms National Park area you should definitely spend the day in the forest. Exploring and taking pictures! As you progress through the forest you will come to Lochan Uaine, a small loch with bright emerald green water, a lovely picnic spot!
Tour around Loch Ness and visit several locations that are great for photography! Starting point is the grand waterfall: the Falls of Foyers on the eastern side of Loch Ness. After that time to go to the southern tip of the Loch and see the Caledonian Canal at Fort Augustus. Heading north next stop is the rapids at Invermoriston and the last stop is Urquhart Castle, a ruin sitting on the shore of Loch Ness.
A guide to the wonderful Loch Garten within the Abernethy Nature Reserve managed by the RSPB. A majestic ancient forest, a small pocket of the remaining 1% of the Caledonian forest that once spread across the whole of the Highlands. A must see Loch when visiting the Highlands!
